She was the daughter of Captain Louis MacGregor Moffatt and Annetta 'Nettie' Inez Palmer of Laramie and Platte, Wyoming. Her siblings were Hilda F Moffatt, Juliet Isabella Moffatt, Jocelyn Elfrieda Moffatt Davie, and Eleanore L Moffatt.

She was a graduate of Fremont High School, Los Angeles, California.

She entered AAF flight trining 19 December 1943 at Houston Municipal Airport, and graduated 28 May 1943 at Avenger Field, Sweetwater, Texas.

She was a ferry pilot, and had been stationed at Long Beach Army Air Base, California.

She was killed in BT-15 # 42-42169 on a routine flight due to a stall and subsequent spin of the aircraft. The crash occurred approximately 3/4 mile east of the Cal Aero Academy Airfield at Chino, California.

She was one of thirty-eight WWII WASPs killed while in the service of their country.
