M. Sgt. (Ret.) Marshall L. Grubbs, 52, owner and operator of Grubbs Laundromat in the Trade Mart shopping complex, died Friday in Reynolds Army Hospital after a brief illness.
Funeral was held at the Old Post Chapel, Fort Sill, with Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Dalton H. Barnes, officiating. Burial with full military honors was in the Post Cemetery under direction of Becker Funeral Home.
Mr. Grubbs was born Nov. 21, 1921 in Atlanta, Ga. He enlisted in the Army on Feb. 24, 1941 in Atlanta and served in the Philippines during World War II, in Korea, and in Vietnam prior to his retirement in January 1969. He married Frances McCreary on Nov. 23, 1946 in Atlanta. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
