Mrs. Carrie Woodbury Durbin, 84, a former resident of Casper, died March 9 at Long Beach, California, according to word received here. Mrs. Durbin was born in Boulder County, Colorado, Feb. 8, 1870, the daughter of the late Charles and Louise Runyan Woodbury, early Colorado pioneers. Mrs. Durbin was married to John Carl Durbin in October 1888, The family lived throughout Boulder County until 1913, then moved to Casper. In 1939 Mr. and Mrs. Durbin moved to Southern California.
Mr. Durbin is survived by her husband, her aunt, Mrs. Joe Lee of Longemont; eight children, Cecil C., James V. and Donald J. Durbin, and Mrs. Elsiemae Campbelll, all of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Rhea Robinson of Medford, Ore.; Drue Durbin of Chicago, Ill.; Everett Durbin of Erie, Colo.; and Mrs. Vera Harris of Denver, Colo. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Services and burial were at Long Beach. [Burial at nearby Rancho Palos Verdes, CA].
