FAIRFIELD JOURNAL, Friday July 12 1918, 2-3.

Mrs. Sarah Bailey, about 75, well known resident of this city, died this morning at the home of her grandson, Clifford Bailey, east of the city. Heart trouble. Had lived in Fairfield about 50 years. Survived by children: James Bailey and Mary Elizabeth of this city, and Wilson Bailey of Nebr.; husband and the following children having preceded her in death: Alexander and John C. She is also survived by one brother, David Gilchrist of Libertyville.

Note: son Joseph (1859-1927) was evidently omitted from Sarah's obituary as a son.
