A graveside service for Everett F. Alford will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday [April 11] in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. He died Sunday [April 8] of causes related to age in his Vancouver home. He was 84.
Mr. Alford was born in Coffeyville, Kan., on July 16, 1905, and had lived in Vancouver the last 50 years. He was a retired electrician who worked on construction of the Trojan Nuclear Plant and Grand Coulee, Bonneville and The Dalles dams.
Surviving are his wife, Letha of Vancouver; stepdaughter, Arlene Thompson of Vancouver; brother, Ellsworth of Vancouver; sister, Gladys Cloyd of Kansas; and two granddaughters.
