Louis "Bud" Brackemyre, 86, of Ogden passed away at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday (March 7, 2012) at the Champaign County Nursing Home, Urbana.
He was born Oct. 11, 1925 in Mahomet Township to Price and Hazel Davis Brackemyre. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, George Brackemyre and three sisters, Elvira Schmidt, Florence Schmidt and Bonnie Burk.
He married Ruth Myrick on Oct. 11, 1950 in Champaign. She survives. Also surviving are one sister, Atha Parnes of Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.
