Kentucky New Era obit posted 03 Apr 1970 reads as follows:

James B Duncan, 80, of Detroit, died there Wednesday.

The body will arrive at Henninger Funeral Home late today, and services will be at 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home chapel with burial in Powell Cemetery, LaFayette.

A native of Stewart Couny, Tenn., Mr. Duncan was born Aug. 3, 1889, the son of the late N.B. and Olive Nance Duncan. He moved to Detroit in 1943.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Monica Berkley Duncan; two sons, James W. and Ralph B Duncan, both of Detroit; a daughter, Mrs. Reva Skolnik, Detroit; two brothers, John H, Christian County, and Allan Duncan, Detroit; two sisters, Mrs. J.R. Ellis, Detroit, and Mrs. Clyde Maveety, this city; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
