Mrs. Adams died Wednesday, December 20, 2006, in a Longview hospital. She was born January 1, 1917, in Glenwood, Arkansas, to William Riley Foshee and Cosie Anna Pounds Foshee, who preceded her in death. During World War II, she lived in Oklahoma City, Okla., for six years, where she worked as a clerk in a Rexall Drug Store. She married David E. "Buster" Adams on November 28, 1943, in Oklahoma City, Okla. Buster and Billie lived in the East Texas area where he worked in the oil field as an operator for 25 years. They owned and operated the Adams Exxon Station in New London until their retirement. He preceded her in death on July 12, 2002. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post No. 8535 of Henderson. She attended the Primitive Baptist Church. She enjoyed her family, cooking, needle work, and crafts. Everyone loved the fun she brought to their lives.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by four sisters, Lenora Wisener, Veora Blackmon, Native Story, and Blanche Woodall.

Survivors include three sisters, Ilee Morgan of Houston, Juanita Watson of New London, and Des Mitchell of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend special thanks to The Clairmont of Longview for the wonderful loving care and joy they had provided Mrs. Adams over the past two years.

Memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Tyler Primitive Baptist Church, 6502 FM 2493, Tyler, TX 75703; or to the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post No. 8535, P.O. Box 1922, Henderson, TX 75653.

The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Friday afternoon, December 22, 2006, at the funeral home. Online registration and condolences are available at
