Funeral services for Dolly Mae Bentley will be held Sat., March 8, at 10 a.m., at the Cromwell Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Little Cemetery in Seminole County.
Dolly Mae Bentley was born July 11, 1934 in Muskqgee to Thomas Andrew Myers Sr. and Maggie Gertrude (Dennis) Myers. She passed away Tuesday, March 4, in Shawnee at the age of 73.
Mrs. Bentley had been a resident of the Okemah area since 1977. She and Leland Bentley were married July 11,1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada; he later preceded her in death August 6, 1986. Mrs. Bentley was a loving housewife and enjoyed attending the Church of Christ in Cromwell, fishing, crocheting, and crafting.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, her step-father, three brothers, and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Roy Bentley and wife Tammie of Okemah and Ted Bentley and wife Rita of Tulsa; one daughter, Kathy Carpenter and husband Rick of Okemah; one sister, Mickey Rains of Muskogee; 10 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearer will be Jackie Flinn, Roy Flinn Jr., Mike Amerson, Rickie Carpenter Jr., Roy L. Bentley, Jerry Averyt, and J.R. Murphy.
Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home and officiated by Brother James Banscum.
