Hal Goodman was a comedy writer who wrote for Johnny Carson, Flip Wilson, Jack Benny, Bob Newhart, Carol Burnett, Jerry Lewis, Red Skelton, and Jackie Gleason. He wrote the story "Invitation to a Gunfighter" which became a Playhouse 90 episode (1957) with Hugh O'Brien and Gilbert Roland and a theatrical film (1964) with Yul Brynner and George Segal. He is uncredited for his work on "Crusader Rabbit." His ashes have been scattered in the Rose Garden at Westwood Village Memorial Park.
