Melvin Fred Grabow, 80, 637 Madison Drive, Delavan, died at University Hospital, Madison, Sunday, Oct. 9th 1989.
He was born June 6 1909 in Chicago Ill. the son of Fred and Ida (Rohsenow) Grabow. He married Leona "Lee" Tilly on June 18 1932, in Oak Park, Ill. Mr. Grabow was an accountant at the Borg Corporation in Delavan for 39 years. He had been a resident of Delavan since 1942, and was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Delavan.
He is survived by his wife, Lee, Delavan; one son, Ronald (Billie June) Grabow, Delavan; four grandchildren, Suzanne (Tom) Polzin, Elkhorn, Roxanne Grabow, Sandy Utah, Bradley (Claudia) Grabow, Delavan, Marcus (Amy) Grabow, Delavan; two great grandchildren, Elliott Grabow, and David Polzin; and one sister, Mrs. Dorothy (George) Jandes Hillside Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Harold (Murial) Grabow, and one granddaughter Jillianne Grabow.
Funeral Service were held at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church on Wedneday Oct. 11 at 11:00am. The Reverend David Lieske officiated. Burial was in Spring Grove Cemetery, Delavan. Visitation was held at the Monroe Funeral Home, Delavan, Tuesday, Oct 10 from 7-9pm.
