Larry Boyd Long, 68, passed away early Wednesday evening, April 29, 2009,
at his home in Goshen.
Larry was born in Goshen to Richard and Lucile (Boyd) Long on August 9, 1940.
He married Susan Oldfield on June 22, 1965, in Goshen.
His parents have preceded him in death while his wife survives.
Larry was a lifetime resident of Goshen. He was a 1958 Goshen High School graduate and worked at Flexco as a welder where he retired in 2005.
He then worked at B&K Sales until November of 2008.
He attended Community Church of Waterford.
Fishing with his son, Skip, is one of the ways he enjoyed his leisure time.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Skip (Tamera) Long of Goshen
and Steve (Mary Jane) Mishler of Bloomington, Indiana; three daughters,
Valerie Perry and Vanessa (Tim) Kilmer both of Goshen, and Lindy (Ozzie) Leach
of Deadwood, South Dakota; 15 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2009, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home.
A 3:00p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2009, funeral service will be conducted
at Community Church of Waterford with Pastor Mike Overpeck officiating.
Cremation will follow services with burial later at Oakridge Cemetery of Goshen.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community Church of Waterford.
