Thomas Owen Moon Sr.
Thomas Owen Moon Sr., 71, of Evington, died Thursday, August 10, 2006.
Mr. Moon was born December 25, 1934, in Lynchburg, a son of the late Russell and Effie Carmichael Moon. He served in the U.S. Navy and was self-employed working with ceramic tile. He had several hobbies that took up all of his spare time including going to yard sales and flea markets, reading, fishing, canoeing, and camping.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelli Worsham of Forest and Sandra Wright of Lynchburg; a son, Thomas Owen Moon Jr., of Lynchburg, and four grandchildren, Ashley, Jason, Scott, and Whitney.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 13, 2006, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, August 14, 2006, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Military honors will be presented by American Legion Post 16.
