Lemuel Lafayette Burch, the son of Lemuel and Mary (Key) Burch was born in Marion County and passed away at his home in Pleasantville. He was united in marriage to Mary Elnora Martin (**Note: transcriptions of the marriage record read 17 Nov 1889 in Union Twp, Marion Co, IA)**) and to this union six children were born; Fred of Indianola, Alva of Knoxville, Audra Spencer of Pleasantville, Anna Morse of Knoxville, Miller of Fairfield, and Florence Haskins of Lincoln, Nebraska. Services were held at the Methodist Church in Pleasantville December 10, Rev Floyd Shepperd of Ankeny officiating; interment in Pleasantville Cemetery. From The Pleasantville News.
