DR. J. N. BALL DIED SUDDENLY WEDNESDAY
Death Due To Heart Disease And Burial At Tylertown On Friday
Dr. J. N. Ball, for nine years a resident of Bogalusa, died suddenly at his farm a short distance from Bogalusa last Wednesday evening. Dr. Ball had gone to his farm to look after some business and late in the evening had told his tenant, Mr. Kemp, to go to the house and prepare some coffee and that he would at the house in a few minutes. When the coffee was ready and Dr. Ball was called, no response was made and Mr. Kemp went to where he had left him and found him dead.
The [deceased] was well known though Washington parish where for a number of years he had practiced his profession. He was born in Tylertown, Miss. fifty-one years ago last December. He is survived by a widow and six children, the oldest being Claude age 19 yrs. He is survived by two brothers, Robert of the Bogalusa Stores Co. and Need, of Tylertown and four sisters, one residing at Memphis and three in Mississippi. Dr. Ball was a member of the Masons, Woodmen, Ben Hur, Macabees and other secret orders. The funeral services were conducted under the auspices of the Masons.
THe remains were sent to Tylertown, Miss. where services were conducted at the Methodist church and burial in the Tylertown cemetery.
