Theresa Deyo-Johnson, 49, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, entered into eternal rest August 24, 2007, at her home in Spotsylvania County.
Born in Bowling Green January 12, 1958, she was employed by the American Counseling Association and in several administrative positions with the federal government at Navy Annex, Crystal City and Quantico.
Theresa joined St. James Baptist Church at an early age. Even though she changed her residence to Richmond, Washington, D.C., Alexandria and Fredericksburg, she was always devoted to her St. James Church family.
She was the daughter of the late Reuben A. Deyo.
Survivors include her devoted husband, Tyrone D. Johnson; her daughter, Tyresa; her son Treyvon; a stepson, Tyrone, Jr.; her mother, Mary E. Deyo; one brother, Reuben H. Deyo; two sisters, Joan Cooper and Karen Deyo; one devoted godsister, Leslie Freeman; her mother-in-law, Genevieve Johnson; two sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held Saturday, September 1, 2007, at Caroline County Community Services Center, 17202 Richmond Turnpike, Milford, VA. 22514. The Rev. Dr. Charles F. Baugham will officiate and the Rev. Irving Woolfolk, Jr. gave the eulogy.
Interment in St. James Baptist Church Cemetery, Milford.
Visitation was held Friday, August 31, at C. W. Edwards Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the Community Center.
