Marvin Brown, 78, passed away Saturday, July18, 2009 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church of Sunset with Jeff Jackson and Dennis Pellet officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Monday from 6 til' 8 p.m. at the White Family Funeral Home.

Marvin was born April 7, 1931 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to George Roland and Willie Bell (Railey) Brown. He married Mary Genell Cearley on March 14, 1956. He was a Veteran and served his country in the United States Army overseas during the Korean War. He was a member of the Salvation Army for fifty years. He loved to hunt, fish, ride his mules, loved his children and especially being with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Grady, Chester, Lester, Billy Ray, Ted, and George Roland.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Genell "Nell" Brown of Bowie; two sons, Marvin Ray of Bowie and Bobby Allen and wife, Sherea of Bridgeport; two daughters, Connie Elrod and husband, Glynn of Vashti and Cindy Hanks and husband, David of Sunset; eight grandchildren, Shannon and Brad Hanks, Stephen Hunt, Todd Edgett, Kenny Green, Kirk Green, Donnie McGuire Jr., Shaunda Horner; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Ann Bates and husband, Maurice of Wichita Falls; sister-in-law, Marie Brown of Wichita Falls; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
