'Pete' was the son of Fred & Marjorie (Drinkwalter) Austin. He was born in the small hamlet of Ransomville, NY having lived all of his life there. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church since early childhood. Loved to go deer hunting, fishing, camping, play bingo & cards with his family & friends. He was formerly employed with the Shredded Wheat & Kimberly Clark factories in Niagara Falls, had worked on the Niagara Power Project from 1957-1960 with Merritt Chapman & Scott & the Simmonds Saw & Steel Co. in Lockport from 1960-1975. Pete was a member of the Ransomville Volunteer Fire Company for 26 years & the Ransomville Exempts. Also a member of the Niagara County Fire-Police Assoc., & the 107th ANG Tactical Unit, Niagara Falls, on Active Duty during the Berlin Crisis 1961-1962. Pete was past President of the Kountry Bumpkins CB Club & past VP of the Niagara Wilson Breakers CB Club & a member of the Wilson Central School All Sports Booster Club.
He married the former Grace K. Crewe on June 25, 1960 @ the 1st Presbyterian Church in Youngstown. His wife,three children survive: Mark (1963) Diane (1965) & Daryl (1969)Also survied by his Dad & siblings: Robert, Patricia, David aka 'Joe', Jane, Richard, Clyde, Carl, Neil & Susan.
