Berniece Roberta Weaver was born May 12, 1916 in Valley City, North Dakota, the daughter of James W. and Emma (Sowden) Weaver. She graduated from Valley City State Teachers College in 1935. She taught school in districts 48 and 94, north of Buffalo, ND and in the Bell School at Hunter, ND.
On June 8, 1941 she was united in marriage to Albert F. Schneekloth of Buffalo, in Valley City. Together they farmed the Schneekloth family farm north of Buffalo. In 1969, they retired and moved to Tower City. Albert died in 1999. As of 2001, Berniece had been living at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Tower City where she was active in Hannah Circle and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the Tower Pioneer Senior Citizens. Berniece was devoted to her family and friends, enjoyed gardening and playing the piano.
Berniece is survived by a son, James of Virginia Beach, VA; three daughters, Jane (Robert) Pierce of Buffalo, ND, Carol (James) Bistodeau of Blaine, MN and Joanne (Mark) Johnson of Buffalo, ND; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia (James) Leadbetter of Valley City, ND; and a brother Paul (Lorraine) Weaver of Columbia Heights, MN.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Barbara; two grandsons, baby boy Bistodeau and Barrett Johnson; sister, Dorothy Wolff; and two brothers, Clinton and Robert Weaver.
Services will be held Sunday, Feb 2, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Tower City, ND with the Rev Agnes Brady officiating.
