Ms. Abernathy was a customer service sales representative for SBC for 16 years.
Survivors include her mother, Hazel Abernathy; a daughter, Cora Long of Scopus, MO; six sisters, Barbara Stone of Lake Orion, MI; Mary Pruchnicki of W. Palm Beach, FL; Martha Swords of Pontiac, MI; Jackie Barks and Vickie Abernathy, both of Marble Hill, MO; a brother, Mike Abernathy of Marble Hill, MO; and a granddaughter.
Funeral is Tuesday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating. Burial at the McGee Chapel in Marble Hill.
