Everett Roy Denison's prayer has been answered. On April 7, 2013, he entered Heaven to the open arms of his Lord and Savior. Everett was born August 22, 1914 to Ace and Orless Vandeventer Denison in Sanger, TX. He and his family lived several places in North Texas before moving to Hebron, TX where in 1933 he was one of 7 students in the only graduating class of Hebron until 2002. After high school, he attended North Texas State Teachers College (UNT).
Everett is preceded in death by his wife of 74 years, Katherine Watson Denison. They married June 25, 1937 in the Lewisville home of her parents. He is survived by 2 sons, 1 daughter, 1 daughter-in-law; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; 1 sister, and numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, James Timothy "Tim", brother Nolan Denison, sisters Pauline Moseley and Rose Ellan Guynes.
Everett was a founding member and one of the builders of Lewisville Bible Church where he served faithfully in many capacities. He loved being a telephone man with Southwestern Bell, retiring after 41 years. Colorado, gardening, woodworking, basketball, western movies/books, fishing, billiards, repurposing things and bull riding were several of his greatest interests. In his young days, he was one of Texas' top bull riders; but his greatest two interests were God and his family.
At the back of one of his Bibles, he wrote someone's quote, "Our success is measured by how much we have yielded our life to Christ and how much He has accomplished in and through us." Everett Denison was a very successful man.
