David W. Berry, 63, of Scituate and Thomas, W.Va., passed away peacefully March 18, 2014, surrounded by his beloved family. David is the cherished husband of 37 years to Maureen (Murphy) Berry; devoted father of Melissa Berry, David R. Berry, Caroline Berry, and Ellen Berry; loving brother of William Berry, Patricia Williamson, Ralph Berry, Sandy Cooper, and Cathy Berry of West Virginia; dearest brother-in-law of Kathleen Murphy of Brookline, Ellen Johnson of Gloucester, and Barbara Berry and John Williamson of West Virginia. David is survived by many nieces and nephews. David was a graduate of Northeastern University and worked at Tecolote Research in Bedford for the past 20 years. His greatest joys were gardening with his wife, cooking with his children, relaxing with his Labrador Retrievers, and family camping vacations in West Virginia. Davids witty sense of humor, kind heart, and endless patience will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visiting hours will be Sunday, March 23, in the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home, 382 First Parish Rd., Scituate, from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. Funeral from the Richardson-Gaffey Funeral Home Monday, March 24, at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian burial in St. Mary of the Nativity Church at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Marys Cemetery, Scituate.
