Mrs. Opal Ileta Halbert Cruse, 60, passed away on Saturday July 3, 1982. Survivors: Husband, Jack Cruse, Fort Worth, one son: Homer & one daughter: Maggie; mother Mrs. Dovie Halbert, Stephenville; sisters, Cleta Taylor and Doylene Shipman, both from Stephenville, Mary Frances Seymour, Denver City, Wanda Alexander, Waco; brothers, Wilburn Halbert, Lake Worth, Darrel Halbert, Joshua; four grandchildren, Services were held at Castleberry Baptist Church, Rev. Larry Cornell officiating. Pallbears: Deacons of Castleberry Baptist Church.
Interment Nelson Cemetery, Parker County.

My mom loved life, laughter and fun. She loved playing jokes. She was good at anything she put her mind to do. She taught herself to decorate cakes that looked like a pro. She oil painted. She canned all types of

care of. She knitted, crochet, sewed all her own
She lost her three year battle with breast cancer. She wrote this poem and put it on the door of her hospital room.
If you are not optimistic-
do not enter this room.
There's no place inside
for sadness and gloom.
Enter with a smile
leave with a broad grin.
This battle I'm fighting,
you'll help me to win.
My FATHER is the KING
who owns all lands.
This problem I have
