AUBREY - Maynor L. Cooper, 88, died Wednesday, March 24, 2010.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in DeBerry Funeral Directors Chapel in Denton with John Payne officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton.
Maynor was born Sept. 9, 1921, in Durant, Okla., to Ollie Cooper and Sadie Godwin Cooper. He married Ruth Mathews Cooper on Jan. 17, 1975, in Amarillo. He was a longtime business man and owned his own company in Amarillo called Maynor's Construction.
Maynor was a member of Church of Christ, Kiwanis Club and Board of Realtors.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Ruth Cooper; a brother, Cecil Cooper; a sister, Thelma Herring; his parents, Ollie and Sadie Cooper; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include three daughters, Gloria Smith of Denton, Donna Branigan of Amarillo and Patricia Cooper of Canyon; two sons, Kenneth Pearce of Wixom, Mich., and Mark Pearce of Sanger; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
