She was born August 28, 1918, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Johanna (Daly) Craig.
Mary lived her young life in Scranton with her family and five siblings.
While training at the Scranton State Hospital School of Nursing, she met Clarence R. Beachell. He charmed his way into her heart and they were married. From this union, four sons and one daughter were born and lovingly cared for.
Mary raised her children and worked for many years at the Carrier Foundation in Belle Mead, New Jersey, retiring as the Assistant Director of Nursing.
In retirement, she traveled the U.S. extensively with her husband.
Mary was a member of "Happy Joe's" of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Danville.
She taught needle point and cross stitch and was an avid reader and crossword puzzle aficionado.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence R.; her son: LTC Leo Craig Beachell; and, daughter-in-law: Luise Beachell.
She is survived by her sister: Margaret Platt of Lisbon, Connecticut.
A viewing will be held from 09:30 to 10:30 AM on Friday in the Kreamer Funeral Home, 618 E. Main St., Annville, followed by the funeral at 10:30 AM.
Interment will be with her husband in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
