BLUE MOUNDS/MOUNT HOREB – Sharon K. Christian, age 58, of Blue Mounds, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, at St. Marys Hospital, Madison.

She was born July 16, 1946, in Dodgeville, to William and Gladys (Wurgler) Sies. She was a real estate agent for many years and also a carrier for Madison Newspapers Inc. for many years. She was employed at Francois Oil/Citgo of Verona. She was also employed at Helwig Auto Clinic in Mount Horeb. She bowled in Mount Horeb for many years. She was a member of Springdale Lutheran Church and of its WELCA where she taught Sunday school for many years. She loved to gamble where she enjoyed the challenge of the slots.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and an aunt, Margaret Lust.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2005, at Springdale Lutheran Church, with the Reverend Jeffrey Jacobs officiating. Burial will be at a later time at Graceland Lutheran Cemetery by her parents. Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 10, 2005, at Ellestad Funeral Home, 500 North Eighth Street, Mount Horeb.
