Samuel Brett Wimberly

A native of Mount Pleasant, Texas and a resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Saturday February 25, 2012 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

He was 17 years old. An 11th grade student at Parkview Baptist School and enjoyed playing on the football team. He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church and was active in the Parkview Baptist Student Ministries and Youth Praise Band.

Visiting at Istrouma Baptist Church 10500 Sam Rushing Drive Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70816 Monday February 27 from 6 PM to 8 PM and Tuesday February 28, 2012 from 8:30 AM until service at 9:30 AM conducted by Dr Billy Stevens and Dr Scott Thompson.

Graveside service will be Tuesday February 28, 2012 at 5 PM at Mount Zion Cemetery in Hall Summit, Louisiana.

Survived by his parents Rev Collin and Gina Wimberly; paternal grandparents Lary and Louise Wimberly; maternal grandparents R.L. and Judy Langston; four sisters: Juliana Wimberly Handy and husband, John P. Handy II, Micah Wimberly, Hope Wimberly and Leah Carrie Wimberly; four brothers: Daniel Wimberly, Seth Wimberly, Steven Wimberly, and Silas Wimberly.

Honorary Pallbearers are Lary Wimberly, R.L. Langston, Coach Kenny Guillot, Gary Langston, R.L. Langston Jr and Reggie Bergeron. Pallbearers are Daniel Wimberly, John P. Handy II, Coach Shelton, Tyler Causey, Grant Markey and Daniel Landry.
