Louin "Pat" Emmons, 88 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away Thursday Feburary 2, 2012, at North Oaks Medical Center.
He was born on Wednesday, Feburary 28, 1923, in Scott County, Mississippi, son of the late Robert Lee and Elsie Lee Williams Emmons and has never met a stranger since.
Mr. Emmons was a deacon at the French Corner Baptist Church in Ponchatoula, Louisiana and was a 32nd degree Mason.Mr. Emmons alo rose to the rank of srgt. during World War II.
Surviving are his 3 daughters & sons-in-law: Linda Jean & James Kelly, Patsy Ann & Norman Guedry and Debbie K. & Robert Landry, son & daughter-in-law Danny Pat & Julie Emmons, 6 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife, Audie Emmons, brother Earl Emmons, and sister Elsie Sue McNair.
Friends will be received Saturday, Feburary 4, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until services beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Harry McNeely Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula, La.
Interment will follow in the Sand Hill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, La.
