Betty was an RN along with being the mother of six children.
Betty was the loving wife of the late Dr. Frank A. Belmont and is survived by her children, Barbara Henry of Baltimore, Kate Purvis Montoya of Va., Richard Belmont of FL., Cecilia Hogg of Oil City, Pa., Frances Douglas of TX. and Thomas Belmont of Newport. Betty was the loving mother of 6 children, 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are her sister Mildred Hines of Arizona and Brother, Robert Franks of DE.
Betty had a variety of interests that included arts and crafts, knitting and she loved Penn State football. She was active in community organizations and her church, St. Bernard Catholic Church in New Bloomfield.
Services for Betty will be held on Friday at St. Bernard Catholic Church, 811 Shermans Valley Road, New Bloomfield, with the Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. There is a viewing from 9-10 AM. Burial will follow in the Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Emmitsburg, MD.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to Alzheimer'a Asso., 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 201, Harrisburg 17110.
