Was a Physician in Winsted, CT. Married Mary Antoinette Camp in 1879. In 1880 they had a daughter "Maude". In 1893 Waldo was the President of the Clifton Hosiery Co. Was associated with the D. H. Lowe medical Co. 1889-1891. In 1892-1894 was with the D.H. Lowe Medical Co. & Clifton Hosiery Co. Listed in the Hartford CT directory in 1894 as a Physician in Winsted. His parents were both from Ct. according to census records. He is buried in the "Forest View Cemetery" in Section F in Winsted CT. according to a list made in Nov. 23, 1934 by John J. Miran, who listed everyone gravestone he could find there.
****According to the 1860 Burlington, Hartford Census; Waldo was 13 years old. He had a younger brother "Groome" age 9. 2 older sisters: "Eliza" 15 years old, "Josephine" 17 years old...both listed as Teachers. Waldo's mother was "Eveline" who at the time was 37 years old. His father "Sylvestor" was 41 years old, occupation "Butcher". In an 1880 New Haven Census Waldo now 33 was a teacher. His wife called "Nettie" (short for Antoinette) 25 yrs old...and baby Maud 4 months. I found Antoinette's maiden name "Camp" on a family tree on Ancestry web site. Birth date of 1854. Not much other info.
**Waldo married Mary C. Camp (b. 1847) about 1874 in Plainville, CT. They had one child, Waldo Camp Curtiss, b. 25 Jan 1875. Mary died 11 days later from complications of the birth and was buried beside her twin sister. Waldo then married second to Annette Root (b. Nov 1854) and they had one child, Maude Curtiss, b. Jan 1880.
*This last paragraph was given to me by a fellow Find a Grave member. I'll leave it up to you to fit it in with what I had found. I have no F.A.G. memorial numbers to be able to list the wives and children as they should be listed.
