The parents of Jerry are Herman(us) Aneweer (1857 Stapelmoor, Ostfriesland, Germany - 1926 Bristol, Worth County, Iowa) and Helena Harms Koenen (1867 Ockenhausen, Ostfriesland, Germany - 1913, Dumont, Butler County, Iowa).
Jerry Aneweer, son of Herman Aneweer and Lena Kormen, married on 20 March 1920 in Bristow, Butler County, Iowa at the age of 28 years to the nine years younger Eize Koopman, daughter of Fred Koopman and Anna Hayes, in Iowa born too.
On 15 November 1920 their first child, Irene Lena, was born in Pittsford, Butler County, Iowa.
The family of Jerry lived in February 1922 in the rural community of Bristol, Worth County, in the utter northern part of Iowa, when their daughter Anna was born.
In 1930 Jerry Aneweer (37 y) resided with his wife Eize (28 y, also born in Iowa) and their daughters Irene (9 y, Iowa) and Anna (8 y, Iowa) in Leighton, Allegan County, in the western part of Michigan.
About 1932 their daughter Betty Rose Aneweer was born in Dorr, Allegan County, who died on 12 April 1938 in Grand Rapids, Kent County, Michigan, likely in a hospital, at the age of five years from leukemia.
In April 1940 Jerry Aneweer (47 y, laborer, road worker) and his wife Eize (38 y) lived at an own farm, worth $800 in Dorr Township, Allegan County, in the western part of Michigan. Next door to them Eize's parents, farmer Fred Koopman (67 y) and Annie (60 y,) lived at an own home, worth $350. In 1935 they lived all at the same place.
Farmer Jerry Leep died in 1970 in Plainwell, Allegan County at the age of 77 years. His widow Eize died in 1989 at the age of 87 years in Shelbyville, in Allegan County too.
