Hendrik Bult (= Bump) was born in January 1867 in the dune village of Wimmenum, located in the western part of the Dutch western province Noord-Holland, son of the 36 years old laborer Pieter Bult and Petronella Margaretha de Wit.

He had the following siblings:

On August 7, 1867 Hendrick Bult (5 months old), his father Peter Bult (36, laborer), his mother Peternella (38), his siblings Aris (13), Nultje (10), Albert (8), Pieter (6), Deeswertze (3), and Frans (2) arrived on the ship Villa Franca, which departed from London, England, at the port of New York, Castle Garden.

In July 1870 Henry Bolt (3 years old, born in Holland), his father Peter Bolt (38, Holland, carpenter), mother Petergy (40, Holland), siblings Henry [should be: Arie] (16, Holland), Nellie (13, Holland), Albert (11, Holland), Peter (8, Holland), Delia (6, Holland), Frank (5, Holland) and Petergy (1, Illinois) were living in Lake Township, which since 1889 forms the south-west portion of Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.

In June 1880 Henry Bault (13), his father Peter Bault (49, market gardener), his mother Nellie (50, Holland), his siblings Albert (21, iron founder, ijzergieter), Delia (16), Mary (11, Illinois), Aggie (8, Illinois) and Sarah (6, Illinois) lived at Wabash Avenue, Hyde Park, south Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.

On April 17, 1889 Henry Bolt married at the age of 22 years in Cook County, Illinois, very probably in or south of Chicago, the one year older Alice P Schoon, who was born in the Netherlands too.

In June 1900 Henry Bult (33, January 1867, Holland, immigrated in 1868 [has to be: 1867], laborer), his wife Alice (34, January 1866, Holland, mother of 4 living and 2 deceased children), their children Petronella [Margaretha] (10, February 1890, Illinois [Cook County, Thornton]), Peter (9, December 1891, Illinois), Mary (5, May 1895, Indiana) and Arie (4, December 1896, Indiana) were living at a rented home at 115th St. in Calumet Township, Ward 34, south Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.

In June 1910 Henry Bult (43, immigrated in 1867, farmer), his wife Hellagondie [!] (44, immigrated in 1867), their children Petronella (20), Peter (18, farm laborer at home farm), Maria (15), Arie (13), Simon (9, Illinois) and Elizabeth (3, Illinois) were living in Bloom Township, Cook County, Illinois, south of Chicago and west of Lake County, northwest Indiana.

In February 1920 Henry Bult (53, truck farmer), his wife Alice (54), their children Mary (24), Arie (23, farm laborer at home farm), Simon (18, farm laborer at home farm), Elizabeth (13) and Albert (8, Indiana) were living in Munster, North Township, Lake County, located in the extreme northwestern part of Indiana.

Farmer Henry Bult died in July 1926 at the age of 59 years of a mouth and throat infection (Vincent's angina) at a hospital in Hammond, Lake County, Indiana. His widow Alice died in March 1930 at the age of 64 years, probably in Munster.
