Born November 6, 1921 in Franklin, Idaho to Pearl and Abraham Bowcut. Married Velda Smith on April 13, 1942. Together they had three children.
Dad was employed as a body and fender man all of his working life. He retired in 1984. He enjoyed his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, friends, and gardening. Dad grew great tomatoes and squash. He was a member of the LDS Church.
Survived by his children, Gary (Rhonda) Bowcut, Barbara (Steve) Bowcut-Moffat, and Bob Bowcut; six grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Keith (Ruth) Bowcut, and sister, Grace Brewer; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of forty-three years; five siblings.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the West Jordan Nineteenth Ward Chapel, 2666 West 7000 South. Viewings will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Interment will follow in the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
