CALDWELL - Roger C. Arnold, 62, of Caldwell died Saturday (Sept. 20, 2008) at the Charleston General Trauma Center, Charleston, W.Va., the result of an industrial accident on Sept. 18, 2008.

He was born Aug. 22, 1946, in Noble County, Ohio, a son of the late Beda F. and Marie Coleman Arnold. He was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, Fulda. Roger enjoyed his family, friends, selling tickets for church raffles, working, playing cards, following the Indians, Browns and Ohio State and attending nieces' and nephews' sporting events. In keeping with his wishes, Roger was an organ donor, so that others may have life.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Bernetta Barrett and Leona Benner; two infant twin brothers, Edward and Bernard Arnold; two brothers-in-law, James Saling and John Barrett; one sister-in-law, Mary Arnold; and one nephew, Steven Arnold.

He is survived by six brothers, Francis (Norma), James (Bonnie) and Kenneth with whom he made his home, all of Caldwell, Melvin (Carolyn) and Ronald (Diana) of Zanesville, and Harold (Shirley) of North Canton; five sisters, Osolene Saling of Vincent, Evelyn (Erv) Willmer of Cuyahoga Falls, Donna (Kenneth) Crock of Mentor, Shirley Carna and Rose (Marlan) Hedge of Caldwell; brother-in-law, Robert Benner of North Canton; and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Chandler Funeral Home, 609 West St., Caldwell, Ohio, with a vigil service held at 8 p.m. A funeral liturgy, with Mass, will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Fulda, with the Rev. Father Thomas Hamm as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Fulda.
