Friends Fill Chapel at Bailey Rites
Many friends filled the chapel of the Holland and Bonine funeral home Wednesday afternoon attending services for Warren F. Bailey, popular Havre stockyards manager. Rev. George Reid, pastor of the Van Orsdel Methodist church officiated and interment was in Highland cemetery. Military rites were conducted by World War I and II veterans at the graveside.

Rea Gibson sang, "One Sweetly Solemn Thought," accompanied by Mrs. Ole Flaten and with Mrs. Flaten sang a duet, "Abide With Me."

Members of Havre Elks Lodge No. 1201 of which the deceased was a member conducted Elks rites. Those who served as officers were John Hary, exalted ruler, K. H. Long, leading knight; Monte Forney, loyal knight; Al Lucke, lecturing knight; Joe Mang, esquire; Tom Troy, secretary and R. J. Jensen, chaplain.

Pallbearers were O. A. Ryan, H. S. Cooper, Ray Hill, Lyle Clarke, Howard Sailor and Herb Karlen.

Floral tributes were profuse, reflecting the many friendships which Mr. Bailey, a man of kindly nature and sunny disposition, enjoyed.

As the cortege proceeded to the cemetery, the chimes of St. Mark's Episcopal church tolled in memory of Mr. Bailey.

At the cemetery, Jack H. Pressley was officer-of-the-day and members of the color guard were Gordon Halverson and Luther Waldrip, color bearers and William Barnes, guard. The firing squad which fired a volley of salute over the grave was composed of Otis Thompson, George W. Johnson, Ted Winters, Herman Karlberg and Jim Stewart. Taps were sounded by Arthur Haglund, bugler.

Among those from out of town here for the funeral were the deceased's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Warren J. Bailey; four sisters, Mrs. Don Storie, Longview, Wash.; Mrs. Ed Logue, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Hillmer Lilliquist, Kelso, Wash.; Mrs. Eno Putas, Hadlock, Wash.; and three brothers, John and Wilbur Bailey, Longview, Wash.; and Clyde Bailey, Hallock, Minn. A brother-in-law, Hilmer Lilliquist of Kelso was also here.

Married Kathryn Elizabeth Gibson, 1 Feb 1927, Havre, MT
