Mildred Augusta Jamison-Alexander (Scott) was born in Mocksville, NC June 8, 1919 to Margie and Oscar Scott. She attended school in Winston Salem NC and after high school graduation, moved to New York where she worked for a major department store as as a bookkeeper. Later in life, she was trained as a silver engraver. She was a lady of many talents, and was an excellent seamstress. Mildred was always committed to community, personal, and professional involvement and among her many interests was president of the PTA, chaired bridge and canasta clubs, and was an independent sales rep for Emmons Jewelry. She joined the Order of the Eastern Star in 1954 and dedicated her life to the organization, holding many different positions in several different chapters and remained active throughout her life, even joining a local chapter after relocating to GA. Mildred was called home after a long battle with breast cancer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, David E. Jamison and is interred with her last husband, Joseph C. Alexander. She left to mourn 2 daughters, Yvonne and Virginia, son-in-law Martin, grandson David, granddaughter Ayana and great granddaughter Likiyma and an incredible host of family, friends, and loved ones.
