Son of Joseph Fleming and Ann Frances Smith Prevatt.

John Marion Prevatt married Irene Frances ("Tony") Studstill on 13 Nov 1879 in Levy County, Florida. Five children were born of this union; only four survived to adulthood:

(Toddler Boy) Prevatt - died in an accident involving fire

After Irene Frances' death, John Marion Prevatt married once more. It is believed that his second wife was Nannie L. Daniels. The marriage was not long lived. They were divorced due to irreconcilable differences concerning the rearing of children.
