~0bit~Edith Mae Baty, 87, a longtime resident of Cedar Rapids until moving to Walker in 1986, passed away at 3:33 A.M. Sunday, May 1, 1988 in St. Lukes Hospital, cedar Rapids, following a lengthy illness. She was born the daughter of John and Amanda Micheal Padget on December 11, 1900 at Waterloo, Iowa. On February 11, 1947, at Davenport, Iowa, she was married to Mark Baty, who died on September 11, 1972. for two years, she worked for Quaker Oats and for ten years, she was employed at Troy Laundry Dry Cleaning in Cedar Rapids. Mrs. Baty was a member of Troy Mills Legion Auxiliary and Gold Star Mothers. Surviving are three stepdaughters, Helen Larson of Martinez, California, Evelyn Lacock of Cedar Rapids, and Nadine Oldridge of Troy Mills; two stepsons, Minor Baty of Coggon and Ronald Baty of Cedar Rapids; seven grandchildren; twenty-three great-grand- children, four great-great-grandchildren; twenty-one step-grandchildren; twenty eight step-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Cecil Padget of Waterloo. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Knight Williamson; two daughters, Lois Zeller and Virginia Peyton; a son, Lawrence Richard Williamson; and two stepchildren. Services: 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, May 4, 1988 at the Hoover Wesleyan Church near Troy Mills. Conducted by: Rev. Kenneth Mostue. Organist: Ruth Fiala. Bearers: Del Boardman, Wayne Beuter, Jerry Eastridge, Carl Zeller, Jim Kimmerly, and Brad Beuter. Interment: Troy Mills Cemetery, Troy Mills.
