Born to Jacob and Anna VanBelle Droge in The Netherlands, he moved to the United States with his parents when he was six years old. He operated the Gallatin Service Co-op in Belgrade for 25 years, dealing mainly in hardware and machinery. He was also an avid woodworker.
On Feb. 9, 1929, he married Edna Wallace in Livingston.
A member of the Belgrade Masonic Lodge and the Belgrade Senior Citizens, he was also a member of the Belgrade Federated Church.
Droge is survived by his widow; a son, Dr. Eddy Joe Droge of McCall, ID; daughter Cora Ann Wilson, Portland, OR.
