Born in Arlington on Oct. 7, 1910, he was the son of Fred Earl and Hannah Jane (Snyder) Long. His father survives.
He married Edna Heis. She survives along with a son, Kelly Long Kindle of Findlay.
Also surviving are the following brothers and sisters, John F., Fred Jr., and Mrs. Hallie (Rema) Turnbell, Arlington; Mrs. Leroy (Stella) Wilcox, Galena; Mrs. Luther (Minnie) Gossman, Findlay and Leonard J., Dayton. A brother and sister preceded Mr. Long in death.
He was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Long was a member of the American Legion and the VFW.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Arlington Methodist Church. Rev. Leroy Curtis will officiate. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery.
The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after noon today. It will be taken to the church at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
