FORMER ST. PETERITE IS BURIED AT GREEN HILL
Mrs. Mary Wollam-Davis Died Thursday at Immanuel Hospital in Mankato
Mrs. Mary Wollam-Davis, a former resident of this city, passed away at the Immanuel Hospital in Mankato last Thursday, July 21, following a lingering illness which was brought to a close by a cerebral hemmorage on Thursday. Deceased was 71 years of age and had been a resident of this city for many years. She was a sister of Mrs. W.O. Layton and H.B. Wollam of this city and of Mrs. William Volk of Mankato.
Mary Wollam-Davis was born in Fredricktown, Ohio, in the year 1856, and two years later accompanied her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Thomas Wollam, to this city where for many years they made their home. In 1884 she was united in marriage to Henry C. Davis of Gray Eagle, and the couple resided at that place for a time before returning to this vicinity. After several years they removed to Roosevelt, Minn., and it was at that place that Mr. Davis' death occurred four years ago. Since that time deceased had been making her home with her only child, Mrs. Floyd Frazer of Mankato.
Funeral services were held at Mankato on Sunday with hosts of friends and relatives in attendance. Rev. Peter Claire was in charge of the services while interment was made in Green Hill Cemetery, near this city, with nephews of deceased acting as pallbearers.
