DEATH OF MRS. SARAH BURNETT
Sarah Cramer, daughter of Henry Cramer and Elizabeth Depenbrink was born September 24, 1869 at the Cramer homestead near Millville, and departed this life at her home in Braymer on May 8, 1948, at the age of 78 years, 7 months and 14 days.
On July 30, 1890 she was united in holy matrimony to James W. Burnett and to this union was born seven sons, three of whom, Arthur, Cramer and Charles died when very small boys. The surviving ones are, Frank of Lawrence, Kansas, Marion of Kansas City, Kans. and Elmer of Cowgill Mo. There are 12 grandsons and two great grandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs. Ida Oster, Richmond, Mo., Mrs. Anna Kavanaugh of Hamilton Mo., and Mrs. Florence Mansur of Rochmond (sic). Also a number of neices and nephews.
Her Husband died on February 22, 1937. Her parents, one sister, Mary and her only brother Geo. W. Cramer also preceeded her in death.
She accepted Jesus as her Saviour and united with the Methodist church of Millville when she was a young girl. Later she treasferred her church membership to the Methodist church in Braymer. A good woman has gone to her reward. She lived for her many friends.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 P.M. from the Methodist church in Braymer, the Rev. E. Dodson officiating.
Interment was made in the Family Lot in New Hope Cemetery under the Direction of the Michael Funeral Home.
