Robert Clinton Blount, age 84 of Roanoke, died Wednesday, February 12, 1992. He was a member of Huntington Court United Methodist Church and was a retired employee of Auto Spring & Bearing Company. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy C. Blount. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Odell Holland, Roanoke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C., Jr. and Jeanne Blount, Havelock, N.C.; Donald L. and Dorothy Blount, Norfolk; two brothers and one sister-in-law, A. Russell Blount, Chester K. Blount and Mrs. Frank G. Blount, all of Roanoke; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 1992 with the Rev. Bradford L. Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Fair View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Williamson Road Life Saving Crew or a charity of your choice. Friends may call Oakey's North Chapel where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday.
