Connie Francene Baskin, 50, of Penn Hills, died Thursday, April 5, 2012, at her residence.

She was born July 25, 1961, in Kittanning, to Rose Magan Smith and the late Edward Smith, who died Dec. 9, 2007.

She loved horses and riding, planting flowers, taking care of her house, and being with people.

She especially loved spending time with her kids.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Shane Baskin, of Penn Hills; daughter, Samantha Baskin, of Penn Hills; brother, Kevin Smith and wife, Rhonda, of Kittanning; sister, Mindy Myers and husband, Tim, of Ford City; special friend, Mark Spanos; and nieces and nephews, B.J. Haynes, Greg Haynes, Nicoal Smith and Roc Smith.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at MANTINI FUNERAL HOME INC., Ford City.

Service will be Tuesday at Free Methodist Church, Kittanning, with Pastor Wayne Sawyer, time to be announced.
