H.C. Anglin, 90, of Lubbock, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2006, at a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the Rix Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Mitch Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the City of Lubbock Cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6 p.m.-7:30 p.m., Friday at Rix Funeral Directors, 1901 Broadway.
Mr. Anglin was born Feb. 19, 1916, in Hamilton County, Texas to Henry Clay and Maude Lou (Crosby) Anglin. He was the first person to receive a graduation certificate from New Deal High School. He had lived in Lubbock County for eighty-five years. H.C. was a farmer and a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Shallowater.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Mr. Anglin is survived by two brothers, Verlin Anglin and his wife, Betty and Horace Anglin and his wife, Val of Lubbock, and several nieces and nephews.
