After graduating from high school in Crockett, Tx . She recieved technical training in the medical field and provided medical care for many in Houston county.
She was active in the Wheeler Springs community with various organizations including the restoring of several historic building from the 19 century , the Rock school Cafeteria,
started as canning center in 1910, a( log cabin) built in 1932, the( old school) 1905-1959. The first building on this site was a old boarding House moved there from the property of Mrs. Millie Lewis she was the owner it was later replaced . She Provided meals for the first settlers. Lack of funding prevented these projects from being completed. These buildings are located on land given to the community,
by her father French Taylor. The Log cabin, is pictured in background of photo. This Community got its
Name "Wheeler Springs "from a bubbling spring located
on this property it was used to soak wagon wheel many years ago....

She served on the Houston County Historical Commission for 32 years.
