Birth: Sep. 13, 1901
Tennessee, USA
Death: Sep. 27, 1953
Los Angeles County
California, USA

Ray Stewart was the son of William R Stewart and Dora Horne Stewart. His father William died when Ray was 1-1/2 years old and his mother Dora died when he was 2-1/2.

"The California, Death Index, 1940-1997, Ray Stewart, 1953" shows Father - Stewart and Mother - Horne.

The 1910 Tennessee census shows Ray as 'son' living with A M Stewart. I believe that should be 'grandson'.

The 1920 Alabama census shows Ray as 'nephew' living with his Uncle Stephen Stewart in Mobile Alabama. At some time Uncle Stephen moved from Alabama to Arizona. I assume Ray went with him and then on to California.

The 1930 California census shows Ray with wife Betty W Stewart who was born in Missouri.

The 1940 California census shows Ray, Betty and daughter, Gwendolyn McDonough, age 23 and single. I believe this is Betty's daughter from a previous marriage when she was 16.

I do not know what happened to Betty and Gwendolyn after Ray's death in California in 1953.
