Lois H. Watkins Ellison, 87, of Baileyville, died Thursday, June 2, 2011, in a Temple hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Rosebud with Dr. Adrian Coleman and the Rev. Oscar Smart officiating. Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.

Lois Helen was born in Rosebud, Texas, to the late Charlie Owen and Lois Eustha Matthews Watkins. She married Richard Ellison on May 17, 1946, and lived in the Rosebud area all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Joe C. Watkins and Charlie O. Watkins Jr.; and half-sisters, Annie Mae Grisham, Nola Abelman, and Carrie Beth Rusk; and half-brothers, Napolen Watkins and Ernest Watkins.

She is survived by her son, Charles W. Ellison and wife, Carol Ann; daughter, Jane Kasner and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Sandy Findley and Robert Findley Jr., Dusty Mathis and Mike Mathis, Misty Ellison and Mike Carranza, Rainy Kelley and Jeff Kelley, Clay Ellison and Jaclyn Ralston, Nicholas Kasner and Julie Kasner, Stephanie Kasner, Courteney Kasner, and Brittaney Kasner; great-grandchildren, Lauren Findley, Peyton Ellison-Rooks, Ashlyn Findley, Cori Carranza, Hannah Findley, Isabelle Mathis, Van Carranza, and Lukin Kelly; step-great-grandchildren, Ryan Carranza, Thomas Carranza, and Dylan Carlile; step-great-great-grandson, Aiden Ryan Carranza; brother, Don Watkins and wife, Suzanne; sister, Mary Gray and husband, Jack; sisters-in-law, Pauline Watkins and Dorothy Watkins; and a host of other family members and friends.
