Daniel Hernandez, age 39, of Chaparral entered eternal life Monday, August 17, 2009 at Memorial Medical Center. He was born June 29, 1970 in El Paso, Texas to Ernesto and Nancy Alaniz Hernandez. At the time of his death Daniel was employed by Hernandez Welding in the family business, and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.

Daniel is survived by two daughters, Ashley and Amber Hernandez; his parents, Ernesto and Nancy Alaniz Hernandez; his brother, Ernie and wife, Lori and sister, Ruby all of Anthony. Other survivors include his grandchildren, Jesus and Isaiah Muniz; paternal grandparents, Ernesto and Guadalupe Hernandez all also of Anthony, as well as his godson, Juanito, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by uncles, Jose and Guadalupe Hernandez, maternal grandparents, Simon and Antonia Alaniz, and brother-in-law, Juan Contreras.

Visitation for Daniel will begin at 1pm Thursday, August 20, 2009 in St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 224 Lincoln Avenue with the prayer vigil scheduled for 2pm, and celebration of the funeral mass at 2:30pm. Cremation will follow and inurnment of cremains will take place at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels and Baca's Sunset Crematory, 300 E. Boutz Road, Las Cruces.
