Doris G. Campbell, age 87, formerly of Gwinner, North Dakota, died Monday, September 5, 2005 at Edgewater Haven Nursing Home, Port Edwards, WI.
There will be no visitation or services.
Doris was born March 29, 1918 in Gwinner, North Dakota to Anton and Goldie Hanson. She married Floyd Campbell on September 25, 1935 in Sargent County, North Dakota. He died October 17, 2004.
Doris was a devoted wife and mother. She farmed alongside her husband, Floyd for 37 years on the family farm in Gwinner, North Dakota. They then retired to Mesa, AZ where they lived for 26 years. Doris and Floyd then moved to Wisconsin Rapids in 1998.
Doris was a 4H leader for years in North Dakota. She also was very involved in the Senior Center in Mesa, AZ during her retirement.
Survivors include: Sons, Dennis (Barb) Campbell of Oklahoma City, OK, Donavon (Judy) Campbell of Eden Prairie, MN, Gary (Katie) Campbell of Port Edwards, WI, James (Roxie) Campbell of Houston, TX; Brother, Keith (Cindy) Hanson of Covina, CA; Sister- Ardoth Week of Moorhead, Minnesota; Grandchildren, 10; Great Grandchildren, 6.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Floyd; brothers, Larry and Danny, grandson, Jody Campbell and baby sister, Ardoth.
Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is handling all arrangements.
